Comment: The future of Born This  Way feels a lot like a referundum on the music biz. Of it becomes an, ahem, monster hit, it will prove that despite the upheaval in the music biz, the rules of engagement can still work. When Gaga wraps herself in pop stars of the 1970s mantle: Bowie, Debbie Harry, Elton John, she is claiming that these are her progenitors. That some things are constant. If it flops (I know, I meant relatively) then what? If that hardsell didn't work, what will? If you can't sell 7 million copies at a dollar a holla, what can you do?
