Has there ever been a teen phenom like Justin Bieber?
I mean there are phenoms and then there are phenoms and then there is Justin. It’s like the entire world of social network exists with one plan in mind: make Justin ruler of the earth.
The numbers are staggering but this number is beyond staggering. 3% of all Twitters are about Justin Bieber. That was THREE PERCENT. This is a mind numbing number but every thing about the Bieb is a touch mind numbing.
Really, the Bieber sensation is the purest teen sensation imaginable. Discovered on youtube two years ago, the trajectory of his career has been pure sensational upward spiral. And musically? It is the Nsync syndrome: rather r&b pop tween than rock pop tween any time because when everything is said and done, at least you’ve got a good back beat beat.
More? As Usher’s protegee you can see Justin rubbing shoulders with the sort of hip hop A Listers who won’t go near, say, Miley Cyrus.
And while his voice is in the process of breaking and phase two of his career (3.0??), if he can get by it there are LEGIONS UPON LEGIONS OF FANS. When Twitter disallowed Justin as most popular Twitter after a year of Bieber Beavers stuffing the ballot, they called him a variation, something like Justin fiever, and got him back to the top.
