‘Lady Daydream’, from the EP ‘Color your life’ by the Brooklyn band Twin Sister is a slow and spacey pop song, which opens visions of wild sceneries, it must be the line ‘If you can’t find the sea, I will take you there’ and all these harmonies with ‘green’.
With a smooth and quiet melody, a spaced out tempo, the song allures you to travel somewhere, and ‘it could all be a dream’ as she sings at the end. Andrea Estella’s soft and beautiful voice glides over the guitar melody and creates an atmospheric song, a little bit fuzzy, very much like a dream.
The video for the song shows the ocean, a woman walking on the beach, a nostalgic boardwalk, some surfers and skateboarders, all the ingredients of a lazy life vision overcome by the see and the sun.
There is a sort of longing for a past that does not exist anymore, and an invitation to travel back there, floating on the sea of your dreams.
It’s all very sweet and pleasant, the sort of song you could listen to on the beach, crushed by the sun and your memories.
