Twenty One Pilots is one of the best bands around, the power duo of the decade.  They’ve announced tour dates for this spring, and I couldn’t be more excited.  They’re headlining, and that’s a massive big deal. Hunter Hunted and NoNoNo are opening up for them, The last time I saw them they were playing to a crowd smaller than 300 people and barely anyone knew who they were. Now, they’ve reached some serious star power.

Tyler Joseph, the charismatic frontman, has always had poignant moments on stage.  One of my favorite quotes of his is, “It’s a weird thing to have a microphone, because you have to be careful what you say. You can’t slip up or say something because it’s amplified. So I’ve always tried really hard in my life not to slip.”  He knows what power he has, and uses it to help others as much as he can.  The unfortunate thing is there are tons of people being bratty and mean to the band, saying that they’re disappointed that 21p isn’t coming to their area.  In response, Tyler tweeted: “‘There’s more people mad than happy.’ -@joshuadun after reading people’s responses to our tour dates being released.”

Tyler also tweeted: “We are coming for everyone.  I promise. The only breaks we take are to finish writing this new album.  Please hang with us.”  I can’t wait to see these guys live again.  And if they’re not coming to your area, they promise they’ll be around.  Just be thankful they’re touring at all.

4.22 Buffalo, NY @ Town Ballroom
4.24 Boston, MA @ House of Blues
4.27 Wallingford, CT @ The Dome At Oakdale Theatre
4.29 Huntington, NY @ The Paramount
