After being well less than impressed with Daft Punks soundtrack out of context, I finally went to the movie it is the soundtrack to “Tron”. In IMAX. In 3D. Because that’s the way we do it. And found myself concentrating, and enjoying, the multi synthbank, heavy emotive, well underlining sound.
yep.
Best thing about this pathetic waste of time except for maybe the gorgeous visuals. The story itself is a ridiculous piece of wank (so was the first “Tron”) which improves a lot when you don’t think about it.
But lessee if I can make it palpable for Users.
1. 20 years ago Jeff Bridges got stuck in an alternative computer generated game of his own creation.
2. Because he makes a counterpart to help him make a Utopian world.
3. But a secondary species is manufactured organically.
4. His counterpart strands bridges and in search of perfection kills off the species.
5. The two are at stalemate so the counterpart uses a trick to bring Bridges son into the world.
6. Blah blah blah
7. The only member of the species, Bridges, and son, head North to the portal black to planet earth where global warming kinda sucks.
8. But the gun jams.
THE GUN JAMs? Dissipate me into rings of light now.
The movie sucks, Bridges suck, Daft Punk sound real good at times and at one point “Sweet Dreams Are Made Of This” play.
I think everything is morphing into cirque de soleil plus back story.
