Treadmill Dance: Helen Bachs Works It Out Till The Burn And Then Burns OK GO

When the kid and I are at the gym we always hit the treadmills and give a mad shout out to OK GO. They’re the band that stole the vid scene with the choreographed, you guessed it, treadmill dance.

As mentioned Jan 2 from an article lifted from Pitchfork their new release “Blue Colour of the Sky” is here!
and..
well

Lets start with “WTF” holy mother of trippy moog…Its slow its psychedelic and I don’t wanna say anything but I think they’re Prince! No, seriously— THEY STOLE PRINCE and we all know he was a small of stature man. OK GO stole him cuz hes singing in this and all we need now is Wendy and Lisa and well then I’m gonna wait for the doves to cry.

“This To Shall Pass” is a bit weird too.. the vocals are ‘off’ like they muted the mic or something.. (Prince only does some back up here)

This sucks……..DAMNIT I WANTED TO LIKE THIS

‘ All is Not Lost’ sucks…”Needing/Getting’ semi win. Nice distortion, snappy lyrics and Prince may have stepped out for a bagel during this one. But at least this song has definition. “Skyscrapers”..ain’t so bad but it ain’t blowing me away either. The falsetto is killing the mojo

Its been FIVE DAMN YEARS since ‘Here We Go’….FIVE YEARS FOR THIS???

I’m all for exploring new directions……I’m down with evolution. What I am not good with is a band turning their backs on themselves and becoming PRINCE circa “Controversy”(though I must say that was a fuckin killer release) See if ‘In the Glass’ isn’t an a nonsexual ‘Darling Nikki’ sounding bag of garbage

Top of the heap…..last song :”While You Were Asleep’, tells me that while I was asleep (for the past 5 years) OK GO got up and left.

Ughk horrible
