So its calendar changing time.
As I do this I like to look back to what I have done.
2010 wasn’t so bad but it wasn’t a stellar year either.
I heard alot of garbage but I also felt dormant emotions spring to life again so that means alot.
So as we wrap it up I will subject you to my top 5 live performances of 2010.
1- Blue October House of Blues Boston April 14. God what a show, although a fund and awareness raiser for suicide prevention Justin and the guys brought me to tears with not only music but the carefully placed story telling. Justin takes my breath away every time.
2- The English Beat Toads Place New Haven August 19. Those who are connected to me via facebook got the exclamation post of “HOLY SHIT I LOVE LIVE MUSIC”, I felt alive again.
They blew me away
3. The Casualties Warped Tour Hartford CT July 11. All it took was the opening 1-2-3-4, to make me realize even at 40+ I am and will always be a punk rock girl.
They owned Warped this year.
4. Alesana Webster Theater Hartford CT November 18. Jesus God above a fucked venue a half busload crowd and more energy in their pinky fingers than crowds triple the size.
Alesana were stars that night and now will always be.
5. We Came As Romans Webster Theater Hartford CT July 7.
Raw filthy bloody hardcore soaked in sweat and vomit.
