On the hottest day of the year a month ago, Tomas Doncker was on Myrtle Avenue filming the promotional video for his cover of “Spoonful”: a fully fledged blues outbreak that has to be heard to be believed. And now you can and watch Doncker looking much like Howling Wolf himself, playing electrifying guitar solos with a glare to his eyes. Tomas signs his emails with word “peace” but there is no peace in this video.
Best sight? Tomas in an Afro wig!!! He has a career in 1970s sitcom remakes just waiting for him! Either that or the girl…
Whether shooting up sugar, counting out drug money or wearing his “Funkadelic” t shirt with attitude to spare, Tomas is all menace in this terrific video.
