Seems to me there is a whole lot of that. People lump The Ramones and The Pistols together into this sort of punk rock duo when to me they’re totally not the same. Compare? Cant.

The Ramones were fun. They did nothing but frolic in a way. Sniffing glue bashing with a baseball bat, going to the beach. They were sexy epitomize New York cool, actually they created it.
The Pistols were on and on about the Queen and abortions and swindles and basically were semi political know it all pompous trainwrecks. They weren’t having fun they were a show. A great show but in class conscious Europe, they used what they had for material.
The Ramones didn’t need the shock value their shock value was the WHU?.. cuz the song ended so freakin fast you didn’t know if it was a song or an intro.
I never saw the Pistols live. So can it right there if you’re gonna go all Anon on me saying Im dissing them cuz I’m not. I love the Pistols. When I had my little radio show.. the very first song I played was the Pistols and the very last song I played was “My Way” done by Sid.
Can you have a preference? Of course, unless you write for a music blog then you shouldnt have an opinion…..
