Tina Turner: A New Album For 2014?

Tina and new husband: can an album be far behind?

A couple of days ago I mentioned how there was a certain superstar on JJ McCabe’s “Carry On” off his fine new album, Presenting. But how I couldn’t say who it is for sure.

Well, it sounds to me to be a lot like Tina Turner.

And if it were to be Tina on “Carry On”, might it not be because Tina herself is in the process of making a new album, herself to drop it in 2014. Again, I am not stating categorically that any of this is true or on record, however, JJ is good friends with Grammy winning producer/engineer James “Bonzai” Caruso. Caruso’s credits are incredible. He has worked with Stephen Marley, Alicia Keys, Gwen Stefani, Madonna, Mary J. Blige and Missy Elliot,  Cher, Notorious B.I.G., Miles Davis, Diana Ross… the list is endless.

Tina Turner just got married this year (to Erwin Bach) and that sort of change in your life has been known to be reflected in every aspect of your life. Certainly, at the age of 73 years old, now would be a great time for a return from the vibrant, best legs in the business superstar. If Cher can do it, you figure there is nothing but desire stopping Tina.

Tina is rich and recording is not the same as releasing. If the sessions don’t go the way Tina would want them to, there is nothing to stop her from shelving them. But just the idea of another round from a star whose only peers are Aretha and Cher is enough to make a grown man cry!
