According to thirdage.com, the newly-revealed country singer was recently praised by Tim McGraw:
‘You can’t get away singing country music unless there’s a lot of honesty involved. It just doesn’t work. It worked for her.’
And when she performed the song from the movie at the Country Music Awards, he was apparently very impressed and declared:
‘I’ve been, what, 20 years I’ve been in the music business and I don’t think I’ve ever gotten a standing ovation at the CMAs.’
‘After all the hard work I’ve done, after all the time and effort. And then she walks out and sings one song and everybody stands up.’
Well, well, well, the movie is modestly received by the public so far, and McGraw may be a big country star, but he plays her husband and manager in the film, how could he say anything that is not positive about her?
I have read a few things about how the two families, the MacGraw-Hill and the Martin-Paltrow have become close now, and how they enjoy each other’s companies. McGraw even declared this to a E! channel reporter:
‘My wife is a huge Coldplay fan, and they spent a lot of time writing songs, I don’t want to start any rumors or anything, but I ain’t heard any songs yet!’
Does it mean Coldplay is going country too?
