Tin Soldier -Small Faces
1) For that little echo effect on the snare
2) Because Steve Marriot is channelling every great soul singer that ever lived.
3) Because it has three distinct seperate sections all linked together.
4) the sloppy drums on the outro.
5) The last part (I just want some reaction… someone to give me satisfaction….) is the closest thing ive ever heard to a recorded ejaculation.

What A Wonderful World – Joey Ramone
Most amazing song of all time by far is “ What AWonderful World”- doesn’t matter who performs it but of course I adore Joey Ramones version. The lyrics are not just words but a social statement. A song of hope, a song of positivity. A message every person should TRY to buy into.I cannot hear the opening line without a choke back moment. It’s a masterpiece.

Sparkle – Aretha Franklin
Curtis Mayfield wrote it and Aretha shows so much vulnerability it is upsetting. The “RESPECT” woman trying to give herself to the song so completely. “Submission isn’t easy for me”: it is the truest and most moving of humanity by two of the greatest musical artists ever.
