If you have ever seen the Apples In Stereo leader Robert Schneider in concert you will be aware not to take his somewhat middle aged nerds visage at face value, under the schlump lies a pop rocker of un paralleled quality as all his works with the great popwer pop group Apples In Stereo attests.
Now from his studio lab Elephant 6 comes a new rock band Thee American Revolution. The first single (available for free on Pitchfork) is “Power House” and it is excellent -a pyschedelic pop rock storm-Schneider sounds sweet whatever he is singing and the band roils in the background. The album is Buddha Electrostorm and like anything from Elephant Six is recommended by definition.
