Death: The great neurologist and author Oliver Sacks died yesterday at the age of 82. You may remember him from “Awakenings”, which was made into the popular Robin Williams movie in 1990. Or “The Man Who Mistook His Wife for a Hat”, stories of neurological disorders so strange and devastating, it made an atheist out of Sacks and for good reason: if your entirely personality can change due to a blow on the head, what exactly is your personality?

More Death: Kyle Jean-Baptiste, both the youngest actor and the first black actor, to play Jean Valjean, in the popular musical “Les Miz”, fell off a fire escape and died the other day. He was 21 years of age.

Live: Kanye West is playing his brilliant (third or fourth best album ever by my reckoning) 808s And Heartbreaks in its entirety in Los Angeles, September 25th, 2015. If I had the money I would fly to LA and sleep on Alyson’s couch.

Sports: Jets trounced the Giants -though look, it was preseason and except for a deadly interception Eli looked pretty good, making 12 of 16 passes in the first half. The yardage sure wasn’t there, 50 yards won’t do it. The defense were terrible but the good news for Jets fans Ryan Fitzpatrick, the standby QB completed 12 of 16 passes with two touchdowns.

Recorded: Finally finished the Police over view and plan to never listen to them again in this lifetime… if I have the option of course…
