And so we begin the great journey to get a hit single for Elliott Smith in 2012. We began this a couple of weeks ago and I have been thinking about it since and drew up some preliminary ideas.
1 Break the concept into two. The UK and the the US.
2. Learn how to do it in the UK first.
3. Try and contact the guy who did it for Rage Against in 2009 -or at least steal his template.
4. So we are looking at Christmas 2012 for the deadline of the first attempt in the UK.
5. Take what we learn and see how we can use it in the US.
Which means we are at the point of dodgy, boring, organization stuff. Alyson Camus suggested we affiliate ourselves with Kill Rock Stars. I've had dealings with em in the past and didn't like them but I could be wrong. I think the place to begin is an FB page and a contest to choose the song. Whoever wins will get some form of gift.
