The Modern Weepers are playing Mercury Lounge on May 27th and it is sold out. Why? Because people are banking on it being a comedy super group featuring Mike Myers and Fred Armistan.
Apparently Mike is working n a movie about the madman drummer Keith Moon -who had no right dying so young… and as part of it, he is testing out a band with Fred drumming I assume.
Would I have gone? Maybe -considered it.
Fleet Foxes are playing United Palace Wednesday and Thursday of next week. $50 or so after handling. And I am considering it but only to a degree. More interesting still is Modern Hut on the Saturday.
As for the Kings of comedy? yeah, I'll survive.
