Not enough to completely destry the English drama "Skins", the hideous no nothings at the laughably titled MTV, have set their eyes on The Inbetweeners.
For those of you who haven't seen the hysterical humiliations of these four High Schoolers on BBC America, you really should. True to both the spirit and the letter of High School, it follows the escapades of these four guys which always seems to end in complete devastation.
Now here come reports that the creators of "The Inbetweeners" Iain Morris and Damon Beesley are in talks with MTV right this minute to an American version.
Well, what could they do? Like "Skins", they've had scads of money thrown out so MTV can soften the edges for an American audience.
This will be awful. Awful. The US likes their comedy sentimental with a neat little moral at the end. It will gut "The Inbetweeners".
Incidentally, "The Inbetweeners Movie" has been # 1 at the box office for the past month so congratulations.
