News: A 21 year old white supremacist Dylann Roof entered “the historically black Emanuel A.M.E. Church in Charleston on Wednesday night, attending a prayer meeting for an hour and then murdering nine parishioners.” Jon Stewart couldn’t find anything funny to say about it, but apparently he hadn’t studied the guys haircut long enough. Personally, I think that’s enough of a reason to install the death penalty.

Live: Three shows, three nights, and none of them were bad but none of them lights out either. I wonder if I might have enjoyed Jungle more if I’d been less tired.

Recorded: I started the week on a steady diet of Hudson Mohawke and ended it with a whole lot of Glenn Miller: ;ife is good when you have a wide range of musical taste.

Transitions: David Fricke got fired from Rolling Stone, I wrote it up, Roscoe dissed me and blocked me and Ira called me a piece of shit and attacked me on two separate forums.

Sports: Yankees on a winning streak and still not in first place.

Charts: Muse at # 1 on both sides of the Atlantic, but over in the UK? Glenn Miller in at # 7.

Movies: Pixar released their best movie to date, “Inside Out,  life as seen in the mind of an 11 year old girl as Joy and Happiness battle back from the subconscious.
