Recorded: Arcade Fire’s new single “Reflektor” leaked on Saturday and has been on heavy rotation ever since; a disco marvel that reminds me of LCD Soundsystem (for obvious reasons). The Rod Stewart  Rarities album was spectacular with nary a wasted cut and Nine Inch Nails one of the top two releases of their careers.

Live: KING made their East Coast debut and nothing but fans for the neo-soul trio, meanwhile I had tickets to and missed both the Julie Ruin and Alunageorge and still managed to go to three concerts. Oh, I missed Fall Out Boy as well.

Sports: Jets win on a personal foul and Giants lose, Red Sox handed the Yanks their heads, and the Mets were the Mets. That’s why you play the game!

Local News: Bill De Blasio extends his lead, Elliott Spitzer loses ground and Bloomberg is so pissed he is either gonna a) buy the police department and fund himself or b) support Lhota

National News: Is the President losing it, or playing the games of nations with a masterful stroke? It is worth noting that this is a rare occasion where Russia, Israel and the US have the same interests: keeping Asaad in power. ANd even Saudi, who appear to what a change of leadership absolutely don’t want Iran there.
