Recorded– Belonged to Dylan’s Another Self Portrait, yet another album I enjoyed much more in theory than practice, in practice. In practice, 16 of these songs were straight off the Isle Of Wight concert. Franz Ferdinand represented rock, Jim Jones represented hip hop.

Live: Story of the week was the Electric Zoo closed down a day early after two ODs related to Molly. The next step hasn’t happened yet but you don’t need to be a genius to know where it is going. I tried Ecstasy once in my youth and wasn’t thrilled by it and as for the concert: what a disappointment. Four hours of waiting for the support band to go on, I’d claim.

Sports: Yanks are making it interesting in the homestretch, half a game behind Baltimore and while the division is out of reach just making the playoffs would be something else. Or if you prefer: how are the mighty fallen. Tebow cut by the Patriots and so no, not touchdown Tebow at all.

International Politics: Obama punts the ball on Syria, leaving Congress to decide whether to bomb Assad. I say yes as a man whose father had a fortune stolen from him by the Assad’s and no as an American who can see no value in another half hearted war. As for the MORAL aspect? Yeah, no.

Local Politics:  How the heck did Bill di Blassio become the frontrunner? Easy, in New York politics it is ALWAYS the most liberal candidate who wins the Democrat nomination. If the republicans actually had a candidate worth listening to, they might have been able to steal it.

Movies: The 1D tour documentary was pretty good.
