The Temper Trap, a lo fi alt rock band from Melbourne, Australia, seem to spend their days hiding in the shadows from the beating sun in their home time.
Bobby Sciortino swear by em and, based upon their debut album Condition, I don’t dislike the new world order xx, mood enhancer rock they espouse. “Fader’ -a single off the album, lively’s up itself with ‘wwwooos, wooos” in the front building a sorta eeery beauty.
And the lead singer can sing falsetto. Always good for a haunting. If I am not a fan it is more that I am a little cool to the genre than the band themselves. If you do like heavy atmospheric alt rock which seems to dig under the surface when you’re not letting your attention wander, give em a shot.
