UK Top 10 Albums, May 3rd, 2014
I’m surprised to see Eels on the UK charts, I didn’t realize he had a following in the UK and kicking myself for forgetting Paolo Nutini tickets were going on sale for his June 12th gig at Webster Hall. I did the same thing with Amy Winehouse years ago and didn’t scalp a ticket… maybe this time?
UK Top 10 Albums 4-26-14
Paolo Nutini is the male Amy Winehouse without the US breakthrough, though this excellent retro soul album should do the trick for him. Not sure when it is released Stateside but it is a goodie.

Less movement on the UK album charts than the hyper kinetic US but the real question is will the will we get this literally last in a lifetime opportunity to see the duo perform together. If the video of their performance is anything to go by, it will be the show of the year if they do.

We’ve seen worse, Wilco and Daltrey alone makes the chart not total write off. And if you add to that a Johnny Cash album, even if it is one I’m not crazy about, plus Pharrell and my favorite band in the world this minute Elbow, not a band night out.
Sneak Peaks For 4-1-14
Hands down, this is Thievery Corporation’s week to lose. I saw em open for Massive Attack at the Beacon a couple of years ago and can state without fear of contradiction that they were awesome. The new single isn’t all that, but take it from me the album should.
