The Summer Set, Wanna Play By Mary Magpie

Excited as ever, and running down to the crowd for The Summer Set, since it was my first time seeing them, I couldn’t wait to be impressed, and was I ever.
The interaction with the crowd was incredible.  They acknowledged that the crowd was primarily girls and made some rather suggestive requests, ahem.
But rather than coming across as filthy college perv’s they were greeted with laughter.  Like your brothers best friend flirting, strange but not enough to call 911.
Great sense of humor and the fact that I had just spoken with the band, made it all the more fun.  Its great to contrast the onstage persona to the backstage interview.

These boys, and one girl, are so energetic it’s incredible. Singing along in the big crowd, I totally lost myself and I was so caught up in the music.
If I closed my eyes, it just felt like I was listening to the CD, but watching them was a completely different experience. They were funny, they were laughing and smiling, and having an all around good time, and this rubbed off on the crowd.

I walked away impressed, and wanting to see them again, with a full set.  An all around great experience.
