If you have never been to a music festival, check your calender its about that time. GO!!
With fan favorites such as Bonnaroo becoming more and more mainstream and “MTVified”, ( as i like to call it), you need to grasp this experience while it is still in its purest form. Think back to the famous “Woodstock”, events just like this are going down all summer long with some very amazing artists attending. Obviously Camp Bisco is going to be orgasmic, you have already read a preview or two about some of those bands, but check back for all the gushy stuff that goes down that weekend.
An article I recently read in Rolling Stone said something along the lines of, for our generation, attending and being a part of a music festival is something very special that will be quite definitive of us down the line for years to come. The entire atmosphere and culture involved is unique, exciting, sexy and cool.
I have never been.. until
I am attending my first music festival this upcoming weekend, AllGood Musical festival, located in WV, will be hosting such acts as Lotus, Bassnecter, Further feat Phil Lesh & Bob Weir, Umphrey’s McGee, Yonder Mountain String Band, Widespread, George Clinton and the Parliament Funkadelic, Keller Williams, and P Groove. Quite an eccentric group, but the diversity makes it all the much better. AllGood even.
And how could any event where the things to bring list includes, bubbles, guitar, hacky sack, pen & paper to jot down new friends contact info, kindness, lawn chair, laundry bag, love in your heart, peace, and eco-friendly soap, possibly not be incredible.
