Sting Leaves A Message In A Bottle At Hurricane Sandy NBC Telethon

Freedom is the freedom to dissent, everybpdy can agree with the status quo but to go your own way, yo be a misanthrope, to want to cut yourself ogg from society, that's a big no no. But I never feel more like a dissenter than the unfortunate times in my life when the rich and powerful and boring get together to guilt me into giving money to things I can't afford to give money to.

Or maybe, simply, I don't give a damn about my fellow man's sorrows, I amm too worried about my own and those in my immediate vicinity.

I don't mean to be whiney but it is my impression that I have never gotten a fucking thing off the US or any other Government. All I've ever done is give and if 35% of my income isn't enough to pay off everybody who wants to stick their fucking hands in my fucking pocket, well, tough because that's all you're getting.

As for the unfortunate victims of Hurricane Sandy, sorry folks, I ain't giving you a damn penny but even if I was nothing could change my mind quicker than that egotistical, smirky fathead Sting. I'd read his performance of 'Message In A Bottle" was the highlight of NBC's Hurricane Sandy Telethon. which leads me to this conclusion:

1. The rest of the Telethon was completely  terrible

2. Somebody somewhere must have lied to me.

Sting, who looks more like Popeye with every passing day, is so earnest you just wanna smirk at him. Nothing kills compassion faster than self-righteousness, that's why organized religion is such a mess. And nobody, except maybe Bono and Bruce, one of them making an appearance here as well, is more self-righteous

Read it and weep:
