Just in time for Labor Day, here is Spotify’s Top 10 20 Songs of the summer of 2013. nd rock nyc has written about em non stop all summer long but made one mistake in the Top Three, we didn’t like “Radioactive”  and discounted it, and we didn’t like “Can’t Hold Us” in the top five, so we ignored them both and claimed the # 3 spot for Daft Punk.

1. Blurred Lines – Robin Thicke – Still stands up alarmingly well for a song so incredibly overplayed, I’ve been writing about it since April and I still love it, though,m no, I’d rather not actually listen to it – A

2.Radioactive – Imagine Dragons – Every now and then, the world wants to throw us a little rock band that could story. Like this one, a hit song produced by Alex Da Kid. Who you ask? He produced Eminem’s “Love The Way You Lie” – D

3. We Can’t Stop – Miley Cyrus – Written by r&B duo Planet VI, who tried to sell it to Rihanna, who turned it down. Bet nobody turns em down agaion very soon – A

4. Can’t Hold Us – Macklemore & Ryan Lewis – This is lame and pale just like the two rappers – C-

5. Get Lucky – Daft Punk – All power to DP, NILES AND pHARREL – a

6. Holy Grail – JAY Z – Not bad but not much. The love – fame metaphor doesn’t nearly work – B-

7.  Mirrors – Justin Timberlake – Wondering why this isn’t higher? Because it is eith minutes lond – A-

8. Thrift Shop – Macklemore & Ryan Lewis – I give up, after that performance at the VMAs I can’t stand these guys – C-

9. Treasure – Bruno Mars – I know I should like this more but I don’t and I’m sick of trying – C+

10. Come & Get It – Selena Gomez – I’ve heard she can be a little difficult in person Just saying – B

11. Clarity – Zedd – I used to know why this hit all of a sudden. A video? Some movie? Whatever – C

12. I Need Your Love – Calvin Harris – This is like “We Found Love” only much much worse – C

13. Same Love – Macklemore & Ryan Lewis – Hip hop for people who really really don’t like hip hop – C-

14. Power Trip – J. Cole – The easiest song on the Kanye beating album- B+

15. Just Give Me a Reason – P!nk _ Waiting a second, didn’t this hit during the Spring? – B

16. Sail – AWOLNATION – I am surprised this was so successful.. congrats – C+

17. I Love It – Icona Pop – Top song of the summer? Maybe not but I’d put it in the top 5 myself – A

18. The Way – Ariana Grande – Docked a notch for not friending me – B-

19. #Beautiful – Mariah Carey – Docked a notch for not being very successful – B

20. Cruise – Florida Georgia Line – Docked a notch for sounding like a cut rate Ferry service – D+
