Sonic Youth, with both Kim and Thurston involved, will proceed with its South American tour dates in November. Plans beyond that tour are uncertain. The couple has requested respect for their personal privacy and does not wish to issue further comment."
Wow, I thought once you hit the quarter century mark, the chanes were excellent you wpuld make it to the grave.
Indeed, in a business known for its hybrid polygomy, the Moore's long term commitment was at least one saving grace on a band that I lost interest in decades ago, though just looking back over their albums, I must admit I'd forgotten how much I did like em at one point. Stuff like Sister and Evol, needs to apology from this corner.
And now it's all over and the last great marriage collapses… it is not unlike your parents getting divorced.
The bright side is it might mean an end to the band.
