I DON’T BLAME Jonah Weiner for writing boringly about a boring album. At least he got the aprraisal correct and that counts for a whole helluva lot.

I blame him for that endless first page.

You gotta hook yourself into a story, but writing two endless paragraphs about Source dissing Eminem eight years ago aint gonna make it. Before the review starts you wanna jump out the fucking window while slitting your wrists and singing “Pinnochio” because, cmon drake is a real boy after all.

And… if you wanna rhyme for bar mitzvah (Drake is half Jewish), how about le’s go out and get blitz-ah.

Any rate there is no reason to loath Jonah any more than everybody else, every now and then he comes up with the goods.

And I bet he could shoot me down with ease (I could do it for him).

But if it isn’t me and it isn’t Jonah, how the fuck do you write about popular music??

I go for the rat-a-tat-tat-and-ive-never-been-araid-to-put-Jay-Z-on-his-back. Music writing is entertainment, more interested in cheap thrills than serious high cult art appreciation school. I just think I am so much better and am so much smarter and to put it mildly, so much more fun than everybody else I don’t need to belabour the point.

Jonah thinks he’s got an Ipad and he’s gonna use it. He, along with just about all modern rock critics, wants to dazzle us with his inside baseball real dope bet on to win knowledge.

Those pitchfork boys are slow and steady but they understand the ticking of the musical time clock.

Maybe it was fine in the 90s, but who is buying it in 2010??

If I was editing Jonah? I woulda cut the first two paragraphs just like that.
