Shakira On SNL last night: Revelation!!!

During a commercial break while watching the brilliant game 2 of the ALCS from Yankee Stadium (Yanks won in 13), I flipped over to Saturday Night Live. Now, I’m a big Shakira fan but “She-Wolf” left me cold as ice when I got it back oin July. I couldn’t hear why this somewhat less than predatory Canis lupus familiaris lythanropy was running up the charts.

But watching her perfomance last night I was surprised how by toning down the obviousness of Shakira’s sexuality (even her pulled back tight like a librarian, hair is all controlled repression) when she heavy breathes it is all come on and when she howls it’s like playing with another sex. . And I completely missed the violins and if you did, Shakira actually points them out.It is co-written by the Bravery’s Sam Endicot and I completely lost the plot on this one. It turns the wolf myth from the male it has lived in to the female. Really good single. Any remixes out there?
