Singer-Songwriter Bobby Charles, the man who wrote “See you Later, Alligator” as well as hits Fats Domino and Bill Haley and the Comets, died at the age of seventy-one. He also wrote “Walking To New orleans” for Fats Domino.
Charles was also the originator of t Louisiana Swamp Pop and close friends with swamp popper Dr. John who offered a tribute to the man.
His last abum was released in 2008. He was in remission from kidney cancer when he died.
