So Iman and I watched Kanyes first song on SNL
Me? I couldn’t stop laughing, the white box interpretive dance and the Disney crown was a bit too much for me. Yes I know it was a greek / roman / ghetto dreamscape but…again, I couldn’t stop laughing.
Imans comment? “Great song’ he was being polite I think….not sure. I am sure that he didn’t want to elaborate.
Kanye is a pretty cool cat, yes I know he has a horrible reputation of being a “jackass’ but so what? He makes great music, says what he likes and provides me with more laughs than this episode had up until this point.
Musically acceptable visually self indulgent and as I mentioned to the boss during our viewing…..I felt bad for the two toga girls with the poles.
Not since Robert Palmers lipstick girls has there been more useless chick action.
I was pretty stoked about this episode watching West panic attacks on Twitter all week.
No wonder he was in a panic, he tried to bring his song into the artsy hipster world… and he couldn’t find it.
But he did have a pretty awesome orange suit, more chains than T, and that Holiday cracker crown just made it all the more festive.

For the second song Kanye decided not to change he was feeling that suit… it kept us awake I think.

Again with the white box but this one is not as clean and the Degas dancers sorta pop and locked and disappeared.
The sound is off and Kanyes fun time electronica action is more of a distraction or a prop for his nervousness.
Iman advised me that the gent stepping up is Pusha D, he looked like Snoop.. meh.
I like Kanye. Not for this performance but in general.
Why he feels the need to be so stern is beyond me.. the man cracked us up
