Rules To Rock By Review: Mary Magpie Doesn’t Blush

More than excited to listen to the soundtrack for “Rules To Rock By” written by Josh Farrar, I opened up my iTunes, and first listened to “Animal” by The Bungles. I actually, surprisingly, like everything about the song. Even the female vocals. This is a rare occurance, but any female-led band that can do that has done well.
“Hey Satomi” is an incredible song and it’s easy to just rock out to. It’s so catchy, and I keep on asking myself WHY I like the singer’s voice. It’s probably because it’s not annoying or generic, it’s rocker.

“Loner Land” makes me want to float away to a deserted island and just live there. It’s not my usual type of music that I like, but I must say that I love the image the song paints in my mind. I could listen to this song for days.
“Rock Stars Don’t Blush” is a brilliant song musically and vocally. By far my favourite song on the soundtrack, it’s difficult to sit still. I’ll admit to air-drumming to it, but I won’t say anything about the insane dancing.
Probably the only band with a girl singer that I like, and I must say that I cannot WAIT for the book to come out. The Bungles follow the Rules To Rock By.
