Ron Wood: Rod Stewart May Rejoin The Reformed FACES!!!

On the list of bands I have never seen live but would love to the Faces are way way way up there. After the Beatles, Lennon and Louis Armstrong (oh and Sam Cook and Presley… ok let’s  just stay with i’d love to see em) .
But I never can because bassist  Ronnie “Plonk” Lane died of multiple sclerosis in 1997 and there is no Faces without him. And there definitely is no faces without lead singer Rod Stweart.
I caught faces keyboard player Ian McLagen at Joe Pub earlier this year and he was terrific and I got pumped for the reunion with or with out  two of the Faces. When they reach New York (and unless the Stones comma callin’ for their guitarist I bet they will) I’ll be there for sure.
However, Ronnie Wood told the NME don’t call Rod Stewart out yet!! Apparently Rod and the rest of the band are on great terms and it was only scheduling conflicts (Stewart’s Motown album did real well and he is touring behind) that has stopped Stewart from rejoining the band.
Woods said: “We haven’t ruled Rod out. It’s just that his schedule is totally crossing over exactly when we wanted him. We’ve got Mick Hucknall because his voice is just like Rod’s was in the
’70s. The door’s not closed to Rod, but we’re carrying on because it’s worth it.”
So from the Smalls faces to the Faces -how about the Wrinkled Faces?
