Why Rod had Stevie Nicks on the bill w/him I guess will remain a mystery – unless he doesn't think he can still put all the time in – There had to have had a better choice. A wooden woman, even walking she seemed to have just gotten off a horse – she wasn't flexible – and her attempt to kick her legs were painful to watch. Her musicians were excellent.-
She was on far too long and her voice is hard – I guess you have to be a fan – I am not. The only plus I found is that she is still a pretty woman and has nice hair and I'm talking too much about what I don't like.
Rod outdid himself. He was at his bestest. He obviously loves New York and New York definitely loves him – it's an affair that can't be consummated. He dedicated "Forever YOung" to his new 6 week old baby Aiden. He seemed younger than his years and it was obvious he was a happy man.
He played to the audience with all the charm and charisma he is capable of – he joked and had the audience in the palm of his hand – love his humor – he;s a regular guy with a life he can be proud of. Like fine wine he improves w/age and is "Forever Young"
His backups were more than I've seen before – his saxaphonist, (the lovely blond)seems to be with him for quite a while also a female horn player and a female violinist both lovely talented women.- He also had his side dancers, who by themselves are quite talented vocalists and a couple of excellent guitar players and drummer….. – it was a full stage and a stage filled w/talent.
A great show – way to go Rod hope, you'll be around for a very long time.
This grandmother had a blast
