Two thousand posts on everything from Kesha to Duke Ellington. Filled with more curse words, more virtual hugs and more kicks to the groin than any other music blog I’ve ever seen. Writers who give a crap and aren’t afraid to give it back. Saying what we mean, no matter what it sez. Showing our flaws and exploiting the egos of others. I sometimes literally have to stop in my tracks to see how this entire thing has evolved. Crazy.
We can give you news hot off the press (or in some cases BEFORE the press does) or we can tell you opinions on what we see happening. We can turn you on to a new song or save you $20.00 if something sucks. Hell we have even given out presale codes and missed the presales ourselves. We’re like rock and roll martyrs sometime.
Rock NYC is a family. Each with our own eccentricities, but united in our mission to make the world a more melodic place- of course our interpretations of melodic vary greatly.
It’s a forum such as this that give us as writers and you as readers a bean bag chair filled room to speak freely and share thoughts. Of course Nessing would be burning incense, Iman would be looking at his watch ‘CMON ALREADY’, Todd would be head banging, Robert would be ….MISSING, Mary would be absorbed in her headphones and running into walls, Bobby would be singing scales, and the rest would be, I don’t know maybe making snacks. So perhaps it’s a good thing we’re your virtual pals.
