Robyn Is Almost Right

Robyn would have been one of the great success stories of 2010 if all she had released was Body Talk Part One. Only 8 songs but each and every one a gem, each and everyone begging for a remix.
Robyn said: “Producing 15 or 20 songs at once is a lot of work if you want all of them to be good.
“It creates a constipated, half-way of dealing with fans and your music. There’s no flow in it. The mini-album is a logical development if you look at how people are consuming music.”

Robyn has a point, except why release 24 songs in a year then?
Body Talk Prt 1 wasgreat, Pt II was good, Pt III a drag: the seult? Those outside her gay contongent fanclun, lost interest in her.
I love her this summer, I’m indifferent this winter. If all I had was those 8 songs I’d be blown away but it isn’t all I have and every song is no longer a great song and Robyn went from having a year to remember to having a pretty good year.
She knows what she needs to do. Write 10 songs a year. Do the remixes. Release her best stuff.
