I couldn’t make it yesterday to Hall at Williamsburgh because, well, because it’s brooklun, and I am busy with Holy Ghost on the 4th and Arvade fire on the 5th so I figured elvis had left the building when it came to see Robyn live.
BUT the god’s of dance pop have smiled down at my lonely soul and made everything come up like pinky red roses on a…. hang on, I lost my train of thought…

The last time we heard from Robyn, it was 2008. The diminutive Swede was riding high after top ten hits with bittersweet, orchestral-pop hit Be Mine and anthemic dance ballad With Every Heartbeat. Body Talk Pt 1 picks up where Robyn left off, with the emphasis on those sweeping, emotional dance tracks and the biting, quirky rap-pop with which she made her name.
YEAH!!! And I’m like Fuller, secure enough in my sexuality not to give a shit if it will be a heavy gay crod. Hell, I go to Pet Smart Boys concers… what do I care???? I’ll be the one dancing on my own!!
Plus, plus, plus, the remnants of my aborted vacation mean I have thursday the 5th off. So go see Holy Ghost, go to sleep, wake up, post, go see Arcade Fire, go to sleep, wake up, post, go see Robyn, go to sleep, wake up go see Arcade Fire.
Yeaaaaaah, thanks gods of dance pop, you’re the best
