Robert Plant: No Led Zep reunion

Of all the “greatest rock bands of all time” Led Zep are the worst. Well, maybe U2, but one or the other.
However, unlike ANY OTHER BAND EXCEPT THE BEATLES, Led Zep have refused to reform since singer Robert Plant gave em the boot in 1980.
I did see Jimmy Page and Robert Plant play together in 1999ish in support of their excellent album Walking To Clarksdale though apparently neither you nor I will be getting any closer.
This is what Plant had to say: “It’s almost as if people can’t see that I have other projects. It’s like a woman with white heels and a pencil  skirt passing by will attract my eyes, but most will miss it completely. But yes, some shrieking Berber music, blues musician Charley Patton, paying your own way to the Sahara to sing – it’s insane. But if you want to play with the Tuareg, you’ve got to get there. The whole idea of it was great, their response wasn’t that the songs were good, but about the gender of the guy singing them.”
