When will I learn not to get snotty with Randy Newman?

Yesterday, in a sight unheard review, I said I could already singalong to it.

I was expecting Randy in sacrocant fashion -all low keys and somber balladeering -maybe in front of a full orchestra.

But no.

“We Belong Together” is a (horn) blast that swings and stomps but for kids and for fun from beginning to It sounds like Van Morrison in “Kingdom Hall” mode, all joyous stomping sung by a frog. Just awesome…
