Questions For Jennifer Chiba -by Alyson Camus

There are still many questions around Elliott Smith’s death, Gil Reyes said J. Chiba talked to him about exactly what happened that day, but she said many things to many people about what happened, and at the end, who knows what happened…

There would be a simple solution to be closer to the truth. If I were innocent and at the center of such horrible suspicions, I would take a polygraph (lie detector) test. No hesitation!
I know they are not 100% reliable, I know they cannot be used in the courtroom for this reason, but they are still an aid in investigations. So if we had a way to detect lies, these are the questions J. Chiba would need to answer to clear up her name:

1. We know that you and Elliott were fighting that day, what were you fighting about?

2. Was it only a verbal fight or were you engaged in a physical fight too at some point?

3. What did you say to him before locking yourself in the bathroom?

4. Did you really lock yourself in the bathroom in the middle of the fight?

5. Why did you exit the bathroom? You said to someone you heard a loud thump (a body falling? But in the police report you also said Elliott was still standing when you opened the door so it does not make any sense) or you said in the police report you heard a scream (but there were two wounds, wouldn’t he had screamed twice?) where is the truth?

6. Did you take a shower when you were in the bathroom as some sources have reported?

7. If he was still standing with the knife in his chest when you saw him as it is reported in the police report, did you really remove the knife when he was still standing?

8. You got your first art therapist diploma in 1995 and since you have worked with children, it is a requirement by California law to learn first aid. Have you been taught first aid? And in this case, haven’t you been taught an impaled object should never been removed?

9. You have an art therapist training, and you said he had threatened to commit suicide this same day. Haven’t you been taught that suicidal thoughts should always been taken seriously?

10. After the removal of the knife, how long did you wait to call 911?

Why didn’t J. Chiba never answer crucial questions like these, why wasn’t she willing to clear up her name and close the case if she was completely innocent? She refused to talk to the police but could not wait to do an interview with Liam Gowing, and participate in Gil Reyes’ documentary. Could it be because both of them are endorsing her innocence?
