Punk Rock Photographer Theresa Kereakes Pictures At An Exhibition

Punk pix aplenty

I know Theresa Kereakes as a member of rock nyc scribe  Steve Crawford’s “45 Revolutions Per Minute” closed group of rock writers and photographers. But once she starts swapping tales with Musician editor Vic Garbarini, the best thing you can do is shut up and listen. The names mentioned are the upper echelon of rock stardom and  Bono and McCartney are among the many stories told about!

Here is Theresa’s bio off rockcritics.com: “Pop counterculture photojournalist, Theresa Kereakes has been chronicling bands since the late 1970s. From working the ticket counter at the Whiskey to producing and supervising installments of VH1’s infamous Storytellers series to shooting video for Sting’s Rain Forest Foundation, her career continues to expand.”

Impressive stuff, right. Even if she’s from L.A.

But this November 1st and 2nd  Theresa is coming to the East Coast, Pittsburgh to be precise, where she is showing her “Exhibit of seminal punk rock images ” which should be worth looking at if only for the pictures with her late boyfriend, Stiv Bators of the Dead Boys. Go here for my info.

If it makes it to New York I am so there, and if she does a Q &A it will be a real event.
