I love Lil Wayne so much that I subscribed to Tidal (for the free month, true) in order to get my hands on the Free Weezy Album album, and it was well worth the effort as well. I’ll get around to reviewing it soon, but I decided to take the opportunity to check out what is available by Prince. Not for nothing, but he has never really done the digital job he needs do, indeed, he hasn’t even done the catalog job he needs to. I wondered if this woke him up.
Apparently not.
Prince has released 35 albums and Tidal have 22 of them.
Here are some that are missing:
Chaos and Disorder (1996)
Emancipation (1996)
Crystal Ball (1998)
Rave Un2 the Joy Fantastic (1999)
The Rainbow Children (2001)
One Nite Alone… (2002)
Xpectation (2003)
N.E.W.S (2003)
What the hell?
I just checked on Itunes Store… they aren’t there either. Does Prince want to protect his copyright so much he doesn’t want to sell the albums at all? It is so very strange, These can’t be albums he isn’t proud of, Crystal Ball alone is better than anything he released this decade. The man is a nutcase, he should put all his music anyway but at least he should sell them.
