Prince is officially getting old or insane or both.
In an exclusive interview he gave to the British Newspaper the Mirror, he has declared that the internet was completely over, no less!
In the UK, his new album 20TEN will be released in a free CD format, in the Daily Mirror only, this Saturday. And this is in CD format only, no downloads anywhere in the world!
It is worst than I had imagined since he has banned YouTube and iTunes from using his music, and has closed down his official website.
Here are his own words:
“The internet’s completely over. I don’t see why I should give my new music to iTunes or anyone else. They won’t pay me an advance for it and then they get angry when they can’t get it.’
‘The internet’s like MTV. At one time MTV was hip and suddenly it became outdated. Anyway, all these computers and digital gadgets are no good.’
‘They just fill your head with numbers and that can’t be good for you.’
These evil machines!
Prince has definitively lost any sense of today’s reality, and unless he was making fun of the journalist (but probably not because he is really banning downloads and the rest), he needs some serious help.
