Popdusts Top Five Songs On April 2013: Snoop No, Paramore Yes… Drake Always

Popdust (because pop stars are fun!)  is just a great big fluffy pink cotton candy and it is sugary and sweet with a side of smark (smarmy and snide) and really pretty good taste in music. When it comes to K-Pop they are without peer in the US –everything they write 9well except the gossipt stuff) is worth learning about when it is down to K-Pop. They introduced me to girls generation.

So when Pop Dust offered their top five songs of April, 2013, I figured I’d see whether they were any good

5. Girls Love beyonce – Drake – This hasn’t been officially released yet but it is a pretty good piece of Drake mope 101, where he can find women, sure, yes, but not one to love him the way he wants to be loved – B+

4. Ain’t It Fun – Paramore – I am second to none in my admiration of the new Paramore album, but Pop Dust could’ve found a better track than this one. A nice slice of pure pop, it lacks the clever clever of “(One Of Those Crazy Girl” or the McCartneyish miniature “Interlude: I’m Not angry Any More”.  It’s an album where you can’t go wrong so, fair enough, right? – A

3. Ashtrays and Heartbreaks – Snoop Lion and Miley Cyrus – to an album where you can’t go right. I really hated the Lion’s album, still if I had to choose one song it would probably this one with Miley giving her vocal cords a serious workout – C+

2. Get Lucky – Daft Punk – Sure, it is about the chic but it isn’t ALL ABOUT the Chic – A

1. Come And Get It – Selena Gomez – She gives up some pop for some bop, but usually she pulls off both – B
