Woe, Is Me is a great seven-yeah, seven piece hardcore band from GA. With so many of them, you’d think they’d be a mess but they certainly aren’t.
They did a phenomenal cover of “Tik Tok” by Ke$ha and it is just fabulous. Usually I don’t like hardcore covers of popular pop songs, but it’s so addictive and simply perfect. They did a great job and took on a big song and made it even better.
“Hell Or High Water” shows off the singer’s voice and it’s absolutely beautiful. The screams are a good contrast and both are wonderful. The singing is what makes this song insanely catchy, and the screams are what make it interesting. It’s a good combination, making the song excellent.
“I.” is by far my favourite song on their Myspace, and probably my favourite song with screaming I’ve heard. It’s tolerable, it’s fun, and it’s still hardcore. All the elements make it flawless, and it’s incredibly impressive.
Woe, Is Me is a band to keep your eye on, and fall in love with.
