As reported a coupla weeks ago, Poly is back and has recorded a new album! Now here comes the first release. I signed up on her website for updates and was given the link to her first song “Black Christmas” and it is real goodie.
A rock steady beat on the bottom and Poly on top and though it sounds like hr, she doesn’t use her top range at all to tell the story of a “bad bad guy” serial killer who dresses up as Santa.
It moves real nice, you can imagine skanking to it with ease and the band holds the rhythm, which are kinda tricky, very well.
Me? It gets me in the mood to mug the nearest Santa I see in the name of the innocent.
Good song, good to have Poly back.
