When last seen, Katy Perry was sucking bad at Jingle Ball 2010, so why go to see her at MSG on Wednesday. I dunno, for that whole pop zeitgiest thing maybe, for the entire pop moment experience… for, ah what the hell, just go.
Monday – Fucked Up – Le Poisson Rouge – OK, so, no I am not that keen on David Comes Alive and thought Fucked Up were disappointing live; the album wasn't;t that bad and it might be your last chance to see the band if Pink Eye actually does quit. Also, Titus Andronicus first gig without Amy Klein, and Stickles without a beard. Maybe they will finally play some new stuff.
Tuesday – Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds – beacon Theater – Might be supersonic, give him gin and tonic.
Thursday – The Kooks – Webster Hall – Their last album sank without trace but they are a fun band and might be good on stage.
Friday – Judas Priest – Izod Center – Heavy metal giant rocks on
Saturday – Robyn Hitchcock – The Bell House – I hope he hasn't gone soft on us.
Sunday – Ray Davies – The Kinks leader will be rolling out the hits and the solo misses.
