Last time I saw Van Halen was in 2007, at MSG as well, and they sucked. This time eound they've got a really good album to push and that means more than the usual "Panama" plus… so who knows right? Sold out, so if you're not doing anything Thursda, try out Saint Motel at Mercury Lounge. And if you do have a tix, crack it early for Kool And The Gang

Tues – Lyle Lovett – The Town Hall – I once watched Costello do an hysterical interview with Lyle where he wouldn't let Lyle say a word!!! When he does speak though, he is a bore.
Weds – Craig Finn – Mercury Lounge – One of the best albums under his belt, Finn should be ready to preach the good one.
Friday – Pat Benatar – Irving Plaza – Because love is still a battlefield.
Saturday – Tennis – Bowery Ballroom – I'm a nonbeliever but I guess they're harmless enough
Sunday – Titus Andronicus – Stone Pony – The local boys playing the hallowed hall!!! I saw em earlier this year opening for Fucked Up and tif they are half that good…
