A friend of mine claimed she wasn't gonna pay $100 to hear Aretha Franklin wander off the stage for an hour and sing for half an hour. Me? I would. And i have. But last time I saw her, our greatest living singer (give or take a George Jones) played 90 minutes straight and was magnificent. You miss the Queen of Soul, don't blame me.
Monday – Madina Lake – Ollie's Point – rock nyc faves hard rocking in upper New york.
Tuesday – Little Anthony And The Imperials – Feinstein's – What better treat for your tootsie than the great doo wop band.
Wednesday – Guns N Roses – webster Hall – Only a buck 35 to get close to Mr. Rose. Woth it? If it was seated, I'd pay the bucks.
Thursday – Hanson – starland Ballroom – The first Hanson mention that doesn't name drop "Shhh—" Oh damn.
Saturday – Davy Jones – BB King's – I really think I'm going. I saw him with the Monkees last year but if it isn't sold out, I can't resist this opportunity.
Sunday – Tyrese – Paradise – Tyrese in the Bronx? I bet the black chicks will have their bling shaking.
