The news of Brittany Murphy -Eminem’s love interest in 8 Miles, death due to a drug overdose, follows on the most shocking death of the year. The untimely and drug related death of Michael Jackson.

However, if you actually gave a shit you might want to smack Pete Doherty long and hard across the face.
In court for driving under the influence, Doherty was frisked on the way in and caught with a blue substance (amyl nitrate would be my guess) on him. On his way back out he Doherty was re-arrested.
Don’t tell me about substance abuse, I’ve done more than my fair share, but at a certain point you’ve got to think it through. Doherty is on his way out if he doesn’t straighten up. A pity.
Hope he gets a visa to play the States before he goes to that giant opium den in the sky.
